Celia Argüello Rena (1984, Córdoba, Argentina).
Reside en Buenos Aires desde el año 2006. Es Lic. en Composición Coreográfica (UNA). Actualmente finaliza la Maestría en Prácticas Artísticas Contemporáneas en la UNSAM, Prov. Bs As, Arg. Obtuvo una "Bolsa de Intercambio del Programa Move La América 2024 (Capes) para realizar un trimestre en UFBA, BA, Brasil.
Trabaja como bailarina, coreógrafa en sus propios proyectos y en colaboración con diferentes artistas.
Dicta clases de movimiento y danza desde el año 2010, en los últimos años desarrolla el Laboratorio de movimiento en diferentes formatos, un espacio de formación e investigación de herramientas corporales y conceptuales sobre el movimiento. Durante 2023/2024 coordina un taller de movimiento dentro de CUSAM en el Penal 48 de León Suarez y en 2024 en la Escuela de Artes, Oficios y Formación Política de YoNoFui .
Sus últimos trabajos de creación fueron: Hacer olas rolar piedras dentro de FIBA 2024; Toca Misterio (2024), dentro del ciclo Temporada Alta 2024 de Proa 21; Speziaíta (2023) en colaboración con Pedra Pepa (artista venezolane con base en Minneapolis, EE.UU); Movimiento 5incuenta proyecto en colaboración con mujeres mayores a cincuenta años que formó parte de las residencias de Co Producción en Tecnópolis 2023; Una danza para Zezé en colaboración Zezé Fassmor, dentro del ciclo El asunto de lo Remoto 2022; Cucha (2020/2021); Proyecto Diógenes (2019/2016/2015); De como estar con otros (2015/2016); Sociedad junto a Pablo Lugones (2015); Azúcar (2024), Villa Argüello (2012)
Participó como bailarina en Obra del Demonio, Invocación XI: Bausch dirigida por Diana Szeinblum en el Teatro Nacional Cervantes (2022/2023);
Se forma en artes escénicas y danza con maestras/os nacionales e internacionales como Cristina Barnils, Ciro Zorzoli, Diana Szeimblum, Eugenia Esteves, Fabiana Capriotti, Julyen Hamilton, Joao Fiadeiro, Vera Mantero, María La Ribot, Gustavo Lesgart, Lisi Estaras, Thomas Hauert, Lisa Nelson, entre otres.
Ha recibido diferentes becas y apoyos para realizar sus propios proyectos, entre ellos la Beca de perfeccionamiento del Fondo Nacional de las Artes 2009, del F.N.A, INT, Prodanza, FIBA, Mecenazgo y Bienal de Arte Joven por distintos proyectos.
Trabaja como coreógrafa en obras teatrales como Parias de Guillermo Cacace, Tientes y Atreo de E.G Webhi, Tadeys de Analía Couceyro y Albertina Carri, Turba y Camarín 19 de Alejandra Flechner, La Comedia es Peligrosa de Ciro Zorzoli.
En los últimos años ha bailado en obras de Rakhal Herrero, Silvio Lang, Diana Szeinblum, Mathilde Monnier -con quién realizan giras en Francia, Alemania, Portugal, Uruguay, Suiza y Argentina.
Entre el año 2013 al 2020 participó del colectivo Foro Danza en Acción y Escena Política.

She works as a choreographer, performer and movement arts trainer. She has a degree in Choreographic Composition from the National University of Arts (UNA) and is currently finishing her Master in Contemporary Artistic Practices at the National University of San Martín, Argentina (UNSAM). She undertook an exchange of Professional Post-Graduation in Dance (PRODAN) at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), Brazil with the support of the Movê La América Program of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES).English bio
Since 2015 she has been developing the Movement Laboratory, a space for training and research in independent and nomadic movement. In 2023-2024 she coordinated movement classes in the context of confinement at the Centro Universitario San Martín (CUSAM), at the Unidad Carcelaria 48 and at the Escuela de Artes, Oficios y Experimentación Política del Colectivo YonoFui.
Her most recent works include: Lata con Madera (2026) a piece featuring for Zezé Fassmor a visually impaired performer; Toca Mistério (2024) a site-specific work within the cycle Temporada Alta 2024 at Proa21 (CABA); Speziaíta (2023) a research work on different landscapes in collaboration with Pedra Pepa (Venezuelan trans-artist based in Minneapolis, USA); Movimento 5incuenta, a project in collaboration with women over 50 years old that was part of the co-production residencies at Tecnópolis 2023; Una danza para Zezé and Latente, Aparente in collaboration with Zezé Fassmor an afro Peruvian blind artist.
She also works from choreography and biography in her own projects and in collaborations: Azúcar (a work with two diabetic actors); Villa Argüello (a project exploring her mother's compulsive hoarding, for she has created three performance installations and a documentary film shown internationally).
She has received grants and support from the Fondo Nacional de las Artes (Beca de Formación, 2009), the Instituto Nacional del Teatro, Prodanza and Mecenazgo Cultural for different creations. In 2014 she won the First Prize for choreography at the Biennial of Young Art, and was awarded a grant for the ADF International Choreographers Residency in North Carolina, USA. In 2018 she received support from Porosus Foundation to participate in Camping 2018, at the Centre National de Danse, Paris.
As a dancer, she has participated in works directed by Diana Szeimblum, Rakhal Herrero, Silvio Lang, Jérôme Bel and Mathilde Monnier, among others. With Mathilde Monnier, she toured France, Germany, Portugal, Switzerland and Argentina between 2017 and 2019.
She works as a choreographer for theatre works by Analía Couceyro and Albertina Carri, Alejandra Flechner, Lorena Romanin, Guillermo Cacace, Emilio García Wehbi and Ciro Zorzoli.
She completed her training with national and international teachers such as Cristina Barnils, Ciro Zorzoli, Diana Szeimblum, Eugenia Esteves, Fabiana Capriotti, Julyen Hamilton, Joao Fiadeiro, Vera Mantero, Maria La Ribot, Gustavo Lesgart, Lisi Estaras, Thomas Hauert, Lisa Nelson, among others.
